Chopper Spirals Wildly into Palm Groves at Frequented California Beach
An aircraft hovering above a crowded California shoreline abruptly commenced twirling wildly, finally losing altitude and plunging into a cluster of palm trees as beachgoers observed.
Videos shared on the internet show the helicopter starting to spin over Huntington Beach then falling in the direction of the edge of the shore, where it gets stuck among palm groves and a staircase close to the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Information
The Huntington Beach fire department said five people were rushed to the hospital including a pair who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” following the crash on that day.
Three persons on the road were injured. Details on their wounds were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.
